The People’s Academy (TPA) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to empower Boston’s inner-city, re-entering at-risk youths by training them in the trades of fabrication and installation of metal, particularly copper. Through education and innovation, The People’s Academy focuses on providing viable employment opportunities for disenfranchised individuals, while making a commitment to self-sufficiency and neighborhood/community improvement.

We aim to increase students' sense of ownership and pride in their community, to improve the neighborhoods in which those students reside by providing low-cost, high-quality services to local home and business-owners that will enhance the value of their properties.
